Scharfman Lab Publishes in Alzheimer’s Research & Therapy
David Alcantara-Gonzalez , formerly of the Scharfman lab and currently at the University of Iowa, and other members of the Scharfman Lab publish an open access paper titled, “Increased excitability of dentate gyrus mossy cells occurs early in life in the Tg2576 model of Alzheimer’s disease,” in Alzheimer’s Research & Therapy. The study suggests an early role for mossy cells in increased dentate gyrus granular cells excitability.
