Martin Berg Co-authors Piece in Acta Neuropathologica Communications
A research paper titled “Pathobiology of the autophagy-lysosomal pathway in the Huntington’s disease brain” was published in the November 7 issue of Acta Neuropathologica Communications. Members of the Nixon Lab indicate that the results from this study bolster the idea that stimulating the autophagy-lysosomal pathway during the early stages of the disease, when the clearance mechanisms are fully functional, may offer therapeutic advantages for patients with Huntington’s disease.
